Grunt!  Grunt!  Grunt!

Critic of the DawnPosted on 10/05/07 at 05:28:48

Was I the only one who noticed that sporadically during matches throughout tonight's Impact, you could hear what sounded like somebody quietly grunting or gasping for breath in an exaggerated manner?  It was especially pronounced during the main event when half of the roster was sprawled in various places around the ring.

Geez, TNA.  I can understand hooking the ring up to a microphone to help convey and enhance the sounds of the various slams and such, but if I have to spend half of the main event listening to Rikishi wheezing on the ring apron, one of three things is wrong:

1) Rikishi is perilously close to having a heart attack and should seek medical attention immediately.
2) The microphone is too sensitive and/or too close to the edge of the ring.
3) You need a better production team.

Just saying.

All of the above.

Mike Johnson is reporting that Junior Fatu (Rikishi) is not at tonight's TNA iMPACT! tapings in Orlando and is most likely already done with the company. Not only was he already asking for more money but management was not impressed with his attitude and in ring work.

He was so morbidly obese that he was getting blown up after a minute.  Terrible signing.

Agreed, the only thing worse was signing Adam "Pacman" Jones, and hiring Vince Russo as a booker.

Didn't Rikishi call Bobby Roode a jabroni on Impact? Way to put over the TNA wrestlers.

Which time? Russo's been there like three times now :-P

Speaking of Pacman, he's done with TNA.

Lance Storm had something to say about that in his last column.

Oh, and big deal, Rikishi is gone. Now they'll have to spend more time showing their own homegrown stars. :(

Until Booker T debuts...

DAMMIT, IT'S NOT BOOKER T.

That should be your catchphrase.
