TNA wants Brock Lesnar

Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar is currently in talks with TNA President Dixie Carter about joining the company. Kurt Angle is trying to broker the deal between the two parties. More on the talks will be posted as they develop.
Another young up-and-comer! Someone who the damn WWE would never give a chance!

They need to shoot some footage (read: another "mini movie") of Brock flying his plane in, then laughing and saying he'll never give the plane back to "those Connecticut jerks".

Have we had a Lesnar-Angle shoot match yet?  We need to if we haven't...

I doubt you will see a shoot match in TNA or WWE for that matter:'(

Good point (but didn't they wear boxing gloves?)

As far as Lesnar goes, can't he make up his mind? I mean does the man want to be a wrestler, football player, or MMA fighter?

Akebono v Show?  ::)

That was a sumo match, not a strong style shoot match

And there's no way Akebono vs. Big Show wasn't worked.

Possibly Butterbean vs. Bart Gunn too, depending on who you believe.

No, that was a shoot. Asides from the fact pretty much everyone worth listening to would tell you so, no way would they have booked their own guy to get killed so badly. Hell, even if they were already planning on letting Bart go (which they weren't, not until after that match), they wouldn't have chosen to have Butterbean destroy the guy who similarly went through half their midcard a few months earlier, even if we were talking Eric Butterbean here.

I believe my use of the eye-roll smiley was meant to indicate the facetiousness of my comment.  :P

To some, it might have been "Hey morons, you forgot Akebono/Show, stoooopids" which would have been ironic since that would have made you stupid for being wrong.
AllPowerfulGARTHPosted on 09/17/07 at 03:04:29

On the Bart Gunn-Butterbean match, the prevailing conspiracy theory is that Jim Ross was pissed off that Bart made his boy "Dr. Death" Steve Williams look like a chump by knocking him the fuck out in a tournament essentially set up to push him. So JR somehow politicked his way into booking Bart into getting demolished. Now, mind you, I don't subscribe to that theory ... I was only saying that Gunn-Butterbean being a shoot depends on who you ask.

You kids and your damn "emoticons." I will never understand them.

IIRC, the JR being pissed off at Bart Gunn beating "his boy" was used as the angle for JR going Heel for a second time.

Granted, it was as short lived as the first time JR went heel :-P

Back to the title of the thread ...

And an answer ...

They may want him but Brock just signed a UFC contract.
JustinCaseYouForgotPosted on 10/21/07 at 21:44:28

That's in the UFC section.
LillaThrillaPosted on 10/22/07 at 00:30:37

Brock Lesnar was interviewed during the UFC PPV last night.
