wait, wait, wait - TNA just got DUMBER

LillaThrillaPosted on 09/13/07 at 04:29:22

They have apparently signed RIKISHI and he debuted at this week's TV tapings.

Someone (Rick?) told me they saw him wrestling in Mexico and he's now EVEN FATTER than he was in WWE.  They're calling him Junior Fatu, but really they should shorten it to FAT.  Maybe make it an acronym: F.A.T. = Fat Assed Tongan.

(yes, I know he's technically Samoan but this is pro wrestling so what the hell does it matter?)

I thought Kishi was running NWE in Italy?  :-/
The EmpressPosted on 09/13/07 at 04:53:08

I guess that puts TNA intelligence around the -50 mark.
Rick GarrardPosted on 09/13/07 at 06:02:07

Wasn't me... I am with Unright on this one... he was running the NWE in Italy.

Yippers, it's true. But he's still better than Adam "Pacman" Jones!

Now you've said that, expect Rikishi to hit his own corkscrew split legged moonsault.
Rick GarrardPosted on 09/16/07 at 20:54:00

if Kishi did hit the split legged corkscrew, it would give me reason to watch TNA again.
pszPosted on 09/17/07 at 01:48:21

Amen to THAT.

WHAT?  MADNESS!

Rikishi has only performed the Shooting Star Press once, 65 million years ago!  He wasn't nearly as chubtacular as he is today, and you KNOW what happened that time.

Here is a computer simulation of what would happen if Rikishi attempted the Shooting Star Press today:

You can tell someone in charge wasn't paying attention:

Over at TnaWrestling.com, they have reported in their column the following:

"Without question, the two greatest wrestling superstars to NEVER face off in a big match situation are Kurt Angle and Sting. This collision will finally happen on live on pay-per-view on Sunday night, October 14th at "Bound For Glory" in Atlanta, GA, and Angle's coveted TNA World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. The match is intriguing on so many levels, and there are so many factors to consider as we all anticipate this monumental happening."

They Also Say:
"If you are a true wrestling fan, this match has to make your mouth water. The greatest amateur-turned-pro ever to grace a wrestling ring vs. the most charismatic legend ever to devote his entire career to the pro ranks. It's the match that fans have been anticipating for months and dreaming about for years. More importantly, it's the match that Kurt Angle and Sting have been waiting for their entire lives."

Apparently TNA Forgot about this press release from April 23, 2007:
"It's a dream match TNA Wrestling fans have been waiting years to witness and it all goes down this Thursday night on 'iMPACT!' on SpikeTV as Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle will battle the icon known as Sting! The winner of the bout will go on to face Christian Cage at 'Sacrifice' for the World Heavyweight Title! Former team members at Lockdown will now step into the ring as rivals this Thursday with a shot at the gold on the line. Will Sting win and remain the number-one contender, or will Angle earn the shot he believes should rightfully be his?"

And apparently they forgot to watch Impact on April 26th 2007 like many others did because they fought to a no contest. This story line lead Sting to face Christian Cage for the title and set into motion what would eventually cause the world title to be vacated.

Now many will argue that it says "Never met in a big match situation" and not just "Never Met" but the time they met was for the Number 1 contender Spot. Does this mean that being Number 1 contender to the World Title in TNA means nothing?

TNA strikes again building a match that they gave away for free months ago.

This is another one of those things that really matter or bother me, but I just enjoy for lololol purposes.

Bugger me with a spiked dildo, I must have missed Austin vs Hogan.

TNA has a point. While Kurt Angle and Sting have wrestled before, it was not a big match situation. It was a worthless, throwaway television match.
