TNM Shuting Down

AndrewAdonisPosted on 02/03/05 at 18:14:06

Hope someone can help me. My TNM7SE just started shuting down on me for no reason. I'll be booking a card and will get to about the 5th or 6th match and TNM will just close on me. No error message or anything. It just closes down. I don't lose anything, just the card I was working on. I currently have 173 cards in my circuit, could memory have something to do with it or have I got to many cards in my circuit?

It's definetely not the number of cards. I think the limit is at about 750.

Rey is right... 750 is the magic number per circuit (or at least it used to be). And actually after card 750, TNM creates a NEW circuit with all your wrestlers from your first circuit already in it. :)

You'll probably want to contact Oliver at one of his numerous addresses since it's probably some oddball error that he can work around.

edit:  And congrats at getting 173 cards with only 1 post to the message boards.  :)

Andrew - what Build are you using? If it stops without giving you an error, it's a Windows thing as opposed to a bug in TNM itself.

However, what I can offer you is to send you different compiles to find one that works on your system.

I'm using build 3b and running TNM7SE on Windows XP. It only shuts down on me when I'm in the Schedule New Card menu. After 5 or 6 matches already booked, I'll select a new match type, single, tag, whatever, and BOOM, TNM just closes on me.

Without giving you an error message? In every circuit?

This sounds exactly like the problem I'm having, so I'll add on to this thread.

I'm running Win XP and Tnm7 build 6e (in case that is relevant)

Usually when booking a card, somewhere between hitting 'f'inished and going to the next screen, TNM7 will crash. It happens randomly, with no aparent triggers. It seems to happen more with tag matches and gimmick matchs (2/3 falls, ladder, etc..), but that could be just me. It happens in every circuit with any wrestler.

It usually shuts the window when it crashes, so I ran TNM7 in Dosbox so I could at least see the error message it gives. It is:

Error 53 at pgm-ctr: 286763

I'd be happy to get any advice..

Unright - it's difficult for me to still offer help for TNM 7 First Edition because I no longer have a way of compiling the original source code since the supporting libraries have changed so much over time that they won't compile FE anymore.

Have you tried - in a secondary folder - to install TNM 7 SE over the FE you have? Does that fix the problem?
