NWE from Italy?

Apaprently they seem to be doing fairly well with a somewhat limited roster.  And seemingly are a falling place for a lot of the guys that WWE has released in recent months.  Their commisioner is Kishi (WWE's Rikishi).  It's just too bad all their DVD's are in PAL format on their site, or I'd pick up a couple, especially the one with Bill Apter doing commentary.

You mean this?

http://www.nwewrestling.com/

Heidenreich
Matt Morgan
Mark Jindrak
Rikishi
Juventud Guerrera????
Ultimo Dragon
Vampiro
Orlando Jordan

I wonder how they draw people. I can understand Rikishi and Ultimo Dragon, but the rest?

EDIT However when I click the link for "Little Leg" I get Billy Kidmans name...

Yep thats the one.

check out the clip of Ultimo Dragon with Italian commentary.  You can tell the announcer's very into the action and not trying to tell a story but actual call the moves in the ring.

So how do you think all those indy feds across America draw people? Bearing in mind Italy is lucky to get one WWE event a year, who do you think the average wrestling fan is going to want to go and see wrestle - Juventud Guerrera or some Italian guy who might be talented in his own right but basically nobody has ever heard of him? For what is essentially an indy promotion, that's a pretty decent roster.

Im thinking about buying The Grudge DVD, Its has Evans vs. Dragon, AND Low-Ki vs. Dragon.
Rick GarrardPosted on 11/30/06 at 03:56:00

note that all of their DVD's are in PAL format, and not the usual NTSC format we have in the US.  Someone else may be able to clarify this, but it still should be able to work on a PC DVD player shouldn't it, since most do not have region protection enabled on the DVD players.

Depends on the DVD player... As recently as 2 years ago, most PC DVD Player/Burners had "Selectable Regions"... Sorta. You could set the region x amount of times before it "hard locked" to the last region. (There are, however, numerous region "reset" programs floating around, some of which aren't trojans!)
