Random TNM Shutdowns

Hey guys,

I'm experiencing a problem that i've been trying to solve for the last few months but have not had any luck so far. My TNM7 just randomly shuts itself down without an error message been given or anything. It does it in DOS as well when I run it through the command.com prompt. I've tried all sorts of things including things people have suggested to others on here, installed the new program files, edited AUTOEXEC.BAT, and done pretty much everything. I'm currently testing it on a previous version before build 3B to see if that helps but it dosn't seem to be doing much for it. I was wondering if there was anything anyone could do to help me out?

I'm currently running Windows XP Service Pack 2, on an eMachines Laptop M5100 Series, with a 2.40gHZ Intel processor, with 480mb of RAM

As Oliver would tell you, "unreproduceable errors are the toughest of all to corner and fix".

And since you are not getting any TNM error codes, that would lead one to believe it has something to do with Windows.  I believe if you email Oliver at his hexacon.de address (which you can find elsewhere in the forums), he should be able to help you with this.  (he basically will compile a different version of the main file until your computer finds one that it works better with)

it could just be another issue caused by the brilliance that is service pack 2

Word, my friend, word...

SP2 has been nothing but trouble for everybody with DOS applications that do more than just trivial things.

Still, Jamie - Rick is right on the money. If you let me know where exactly these shutdowns occur, I might be able to help you.
