Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger (real name Larry Pfohl) is said to be in rough shape. Pfohl is currently in San Francisco for the WrestleFanfest convention.

According to a source closely associated with the Cow Palace convention this weekend in San Francisco, Larry Pfohl suffered a stroke in his hotel room this morning and currently has no feeling from the waist down.

Wasn't he living with his priest or something last time I heard?

Yeah, I heard that too. Furthermore...

Lex Luger, real name Lawrence Pfohl, age 49 is currently listed in stable condition in the emergency care unit at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. Luger had a major health scare in his hotel room in San Francisco this morning and reportedly has no feeling below the waist. No official word is being released, but at this point it still could be a stroke, but a heart attack is also possible.

Luger credits Steve Baskin, the pastor of Western Hills Baptist Church in Kennesaw, Georgia, with pulling him from a terminal tailspin. The jail chaplain met Luger in early 2006 and sensed the former wrestler was spiritually wounded. As of July 2007, Luger lives in a spare bedroom in Baskin's apartment and is trying to figure out a path in life.

Well, I hope Luger recovers fully.  Well, as fully as possible.  Although since it went after the lower part of his body maybe his speech won't be messed up.  We'll see.  Strokes are a terrible thing but the recovery is better nowadays than before.  Good luck to him.

Mike Johnson is reporting that former WCW World champion Lex Lugar is still hospitalized at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, California. Fortunately he did not suffer a heart attack or stroke, but was suffering from an infection that caused a nerve impingement in his central nervous system.

He is currently still undergoing intravenous antibiotic treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.

so in other words, he had a pinched nerve and they are pumping him full of steroids at the hospital.  ;)

I've been waiting for this for a while now. Ever since Stephanie died.
VertigoPosted on 10/22/07 at 16:45:19

Who's Stephanie? You mean Elizabeth?

I wonder if Luger brought a sweet tape collection with him to the pastor's apartment. I would let Luger sleep in a spare room if he brought a tape collection with him.

I am sure there was no need for a sweet tape collection with the priest wrestling against Kevin Sullivan to save Luger's soul!

No haven't you heard of Stephanie? The alterego of Elizabeth when she wanted to be a bitch?
