Sarah Stock

The TNM Members ChampPosted on 09/24/07 at 21:54:54

What's the big deal about her? It seems like she is always the reason we all argue about everything. Is she really pivotal to whether a promotion is good or not?

She's a whore.

And so it begins. This could be the thread of all threads. Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less from the man who is responsible for Columbine.  :'(

Sarah Stock is one of the best female wrestlers in North America.  She's not pivotal to a promotion being good per se, but it sure would help.

But women's wrestling will never sell the box office. So I don't see why it matters if Sarah Stock is on the roster.

Never say never.  Things change over the course of years.  30 years ago, people would have said that professional wrestling would never be as big as it got in the late 90s.  Hell, most people thought that women could never wrestle as well as men, which was also blow to Hell back in the 80s by AJW.  Also, women's wrestling does draw in Japan.

I would say it's almost a statistical certainty that women will eventually be able to draw in the United States as well.  Probably won't happen for another three decades at least, but it'll happen, and probably within our lifetimes.

It's just something I would have been able to look forward to regarding TNA.  A good women's division wouldn't save TNA by any means because truly women aren't much of a draw at the moment, but at least it would have been a step in the right direction to show they take things seriously.

It hasn't drawn in Japan for almost a decade now.

Key words: "one of".  Cheerleader Melissa is probably the top female wrestler in North America.

I've never seen the appeal of women wrestling.. But then again I don't see much of the type of wrestling I like in regular wrestling...

Fast paced matches that are flowing back and forth.
The EmpressPosted on 09/25/07 at 22:10:28

Women wrestling is no different than men wrestling, minus the muscles.  The people look more "real" and less like comic book superheroes.  I think that's a good thing, because I'm one of the people who knows that strength doesn't count for a whole lot in a real fight unless the people fighting are just mindlessly punching each other (i.e. boxing), and I find that pretty boring.

Tossing a wrestler by the hair... Yeah right. That's not entertaining.

Female wrestlers with actual talent tend not to catfight.

Hey, we never ever saw midget women wrestling. LOL!

There's a bar in Tampa that features midget vs woman wrestling every Thursday.

It's breathtakingly awesome.

I'm looking forward to seeing Sarah in the Shimmer title tournament when it comes out. She goes all the way to the semi-finals, giving me a chance to see more of her than I have so far (limited to youtube).

I went to a midget wrestling show some years back and had a blast ... sadly, there were no midget women wrestlers. :'(
