the NWA issues the press release as of 5-13... and it's from NWA Pro Wrestling head David Marquez and NWA Executive Director Robert Trobich.  This link is from the nwawrestling.com site.

On a side note, if you haven't seen NWA Pro Wrestling online, it's worth checking out.  Marquez announces much like Gordon Solie with a very similar voice.  (Marquez is also going to be the head of territory where the NWA World Title resides, since he is affiliated with New Japan).  One cool thing is that they are using the traditional NWA on screen graphics as well as a modified version of the old NWA on TBS theme song for their shows.  Also per the NWA website, the NWA has signed an agreement with Big Vision Entertainment, the same company that was behind doing a LOT of "Ultimate Insiders" DVDs and several other wrestling DVDs including a "Legends of World Class" 2 disc set as well as the SciFi network series Ghost Hunters.

Big Vision was also the company behind the recent MTV Wrestling Society X programming.

What territory are you referring to Rick? Bryan Danielson seems like a good choice to win the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Maybe ROH should join the NWA and be the top territory in the alliance.

the territory in question is called NWA Pro (run by David Marquez)... apparently they had a card just recently in Texas where they were expecting a couple thousand people and had 4500 show up to a 6000 seat facility and the semi-main had to be cancelled by the building because the heels were just that... heels.  They caused so much heat that they didn't have enough security to protect them from the irate illegal immigrants in attendance when the heels called them on their legality of being in the US.

At least this has people talking about the NWA in a way more positive way than the night Shane Douglas pissed on it's already then dead legacy.  Granted the NWA name is now under the control of a company called "Pro Wrestling Organization, LLC"
