RoH 2-17 Philly Show

PulsarPosted on 02/13/07 at 01:48:00

Finally going to see a live Ring of Honor show this Saturday in Philly. Never been to one, and haven't followed it since it was on WGTW48.

I know in passing most of the wrestlers, and of course Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels, Homicide and Jimmy Rave...who else should I watch out for? And who is this Takeshi Morishima?

I'm such a mark again.

Davey Richards is a damn beast. The Briscoe Brothers... Austin Aries, Claudio Castagnoli--- maybe El Generico and maybe Kevin Steen. This is gonna be one of the best shows of the year. You picked the right event.  :)

I envy you Pulsar.. if it hadn't been for the fact that I have to train wrestling every weekend, I would've gone to the UK shows to see Samoa Joe's final show.

Matt Sydal and Jack Evans are two pretty awesome aerial workers, and Shingo is a young, Japanese star in the making. Delirious is a hoot, and the Jacobs/Cabana feud is also great. The card looks packed, that's for sure.

I know I'll be there in Philly for RoH (ima mark out for Richards/Joe) and CHIKARA the next day!

Sweet...their events are any age right?
Modified CravatPosted on 02/16/07 at 06:29:18

what do you mean by any age... ANYONE from anyage can enter.
PulsarPosted on 02/18/07 at 07:31:56

Well, the card was 50/50, The Joe/Jimmy Rave was pretty boring, and the Roderick Strong/Delirious match was complete crap. But not a bad show over all. Even got to see Sara Del Ray kick some little wimps ass

The fact the Delerious got seriously injured in that match probably hindered it's ability to be anything decent.

...that Steen/Generico -vs- Briscoe Bros. match was one of the best tag matches I've ever seen.
PulsarPosted on 02/19/07 at 07:51:18

Bizz, next time wear a TNM4Life t-shirt so I can find you.

That tag match was pure brilliance. But I don't think Delirious really got hurt...the ref put up the X...and then, it continued..made no sense at all.
wizardneedsfoodPosted on 02/19/07 at 14:36:02

According to PWInsider.com, Delerious actually suffered a pretty major concussion. Strong did a couple of "soft" moves on him before  the countout or whatever. Apparently after the match, in the back, Delerious didn't know where he was or why, and even the next day couldn't remember the Strong match.

LOL. If I had a TNM4Life T-Shirt, I'd rock it every other day. And yeah... the Delerious thing was legit. He threw up the "X" and then was yelling at Strong for trying to have a countout finish while dragging Delerious out the 1st time. But... Delerious got back in at "9"... so I guess Strong thought he was okay? Really really confusing match. Great heel heat for Strong though.

So Delerious lived up to his name for real this time?
