The Sandman vs Sting, yeah sure I'd like it. But all the others are just meh.
Rick GarrardPosted on 06/14/06 at 22:14:12

ladder matches are so 90's  ;)
ZedjaPosted on 06/15/06 at 09:13:23

I haven't even seen Jay Lethal wrestle so I have no idea how good he is. Which is why the match is just a meh to me.

I've only seen him mentioned once in a while.

Jay Lethal is a good wrestler I suppose. But if TNA toured across the country, I doubt he'd be that over. He's a product of the Universal Studio audience in getting him over. Much like with Lance Hoyt.

The TNA audience is annoying. They intentionally cheer heels, and it's not in the Stone Cold sort of way either.

Jay Lethal was awesome in RoH, and if they tour him in the northeast, he will be quite popular.

HRS, I'm sure you'd agree, the heel section of the TNA crowd was pretty funny when they were in Nashville, but now that they are in Orlando, they are just a lame version of the true fans of Nashville.

Exactly. Orlando is trying waaaaay too hard to be like ECW crowds.
Rick GarrardPosted on 06/16/06 at 02:16:32

And you have to consider as well, unlike TNA, that in ECW from about 92 to 95 very rarely were there normal face/heel definitions.  Gilbert/Gordon/Heyman all booked ECW during that time to intentionally not have heels and faces, but merely a group of guys that all busted their asses and let the fans decide who they liked and disliked based on talent in the ring.  And the booking crew was smart enough to let the fans dictate the direction of a number of lineups.

True. The Heel/Faces would... Melt from one to the other, almost completely on the whims of the Fans' Reactions.

I like how Heyman put it once: We let the FANS decide who they liked, who they disliked, who was over, and who was a dud. Just because they boo'd someone did NOT mean that they sucked. It just meant that NEXT week, he had to hit one of the girls with a chair.

Something along those lines, anyway.

ECW fans also had the "Bizarroworld" idea of cheering a heel if he/they pulled off an amazing set of moves/cut a killer promo/did something really impressive. Complimenting talent... What a novel concept.

You talking about Allison Danger? I hope I aint wrong, because then I'll feel like a complete ass.

And ROH is more over than TNA, but I'm not sure if that is too shocking.  Odd, yes, but shocking...I'm not real sure.

ROH must've gotten some kind of television deal that was in a better timeslot than TNA in his TEW game.
