Ethical question here...

There was an advertisement for WWE Vengeance during TNA Impact . . . Isn't it kinda unethical for a network to advertise a rival to one of their programs during said program?

TNA did the same during WWE programming when WWE had to switch to USA.

Sometimes it is out of the network's control. For instance, Directv will show PPV previews for all sorts of events and movies. It's not like Spike asked for them to show the preview. I'm sure the same thing applies for cable companies. I know back during the WCW/WWF Monday Night Wars, there would be ads for the other product, but it wasn't deliberate.

Yeah, my provider is Mediacom, and I wouldn't put such thigns past them.  Why don't they put any, I dunno, thought into such retarded decisions?

Cross-promotional advertising has been going on since the mid-90s. It wasn't uncommon to see ads for WWF Raw pop up during WCW Monday Nitro with messages such as "make the switch now!" Ultimately, it may seem stupid, but to the average person, so do 99% of all other commercials.
