Goldberg needs to attend an economics class...

From www.lordsofpain.net:

Bill Goldberg strongly considered joining TNA a few weeks ago. He would've joined Sting's team for the match at Lockdown. His motivation to join TNA was to "stick it to Vince." However, Goldberg didn't want "lower his value" by coming in for anything less than what he believed is fair money compensation for his name value. Unfortunately, Goldberg doesn't realize that the economics of wrestling have changed greatly since his time in WCW.

Dammit . . . I was looking forward to seeing Goldberg, but it appears that he is in dire need of an economics class.  Heck, it's not just the economics of wrestling that have changed, it's the economics of the country as a whole.  Not only is the wrestling industry in a slump (unlike during his final WCW run), but the economy of the country isn't as strong as back then either (thanks to the moron in the White House).  He may have been worth millions in 2000, but by today's standards of national economy and the general state of the wrestling industry, he'd mathematically only be worth about half that these days.

I would explain these basic economic principles to him in an e-mail, but somehow, I doubt he'd ever see the e-mail, and even if he did, he'd probably pay it no heed.

Well, at least now it's official: Goldberg isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.

Nor has he ever been a good wrestler, but that's just my opinion..

Don't compare Goldberg to Ken Shamrock.  ;)

Eh.. Goldberg's not eactly hurting for money. He's been gettting some steady TV and film work.  He was in the Sandler flick "Longest Yard" and um.. "Santa's Slay". He also hosted "AutoManiacs" on the History channel and was one of the "pros" on SpikeTV's "Pros versus Joes".

Goldberg's name and image is more well-known to non-wrestling fans than Sting's is. I would say he deserves more money. Probably more than TNA is willing/able to pay.

In the end it's no sweat off Goldberg's back, I'm sure he's got other gigs lined up.

You'd be surprised.  For every person I hear ask about Goldberg, I hear five ask about Sting.

... And more know The Rock, Stone Cold, and Hogan. Doesn't mean TNA wants/can afford any of them ;->

The Rock is too busy hanging out in Cannes with movie folks.  Stone Cold is working for WWE Films.  And Hogan Knows Best.  ;)

And for all we know, Sting could be WWE's "God" this Sunday.
