Possible new wrestler to TNA from ROH

AnubisPosted on 01/23/06 at 09:47:33

From Lords of Pain:

The following list of indy wrestlers are being looked at for a possible contract or tryout with TNA: Kevin Steen, El Generico, Jack Evans, Teddy Hart, Harry Smith, Cody Steele, Mike Foxx and Matt Sydal. Samoa Joe and AJ Styles are both high on Matt Sydal.

Whiel I think AJ Styles and Samoa Joe usually have good taste, this time I'm more interested in Jack Evans.  Not only would he complete Generation Next in TNA, but I've also heard a lot of good things about him (and Jimmy Rave) as far as ROH wrestlers we have yet to see in TNA go.

Some at GameFAQs even said Evans has a lot of moves that make the Canadian Destroyer look like child's play, although I find that hard to believe, especially coming from such a non-reputable source as the GameFAQs forum.

Still, it's intriguing.  What about you guys?  Who from this list would you most like to see in TNA?

1.Kevin Steen
2.El Generico
3.Jack Evans
4.Teddy Hart
5.Harry Smith
6.Cody Steele
7.Mike Foxx
8.Matt Sydal

Honestly, I like Generico and Steen...they're awesome, but I prefer them where they're at...I can get CZW, IWS, PWG, and ROH dvds and events a lot easier and cheaper than TNA...and I would hate to not be able to see them because they have a contract with TNA.

Teddy Hart I don't care for, so he could go to TNA for all I care.

Matt Sydal is an awesome wrestler, and I like his work in IWA:MS but he'd probably do decently in TNA, and I personally wouldn't miss him as much as Steen and Generico.

Harry Smith should go back to New Japan...he had some impressive matches there before getting injured and sent back to canada.

I'm not familar with Steele or Foxx so I don't care where they end up.

I think Jack Evans would be the most logical choice for TNA to pick up as they already have the rest of GenNext as you pointed out. Plus he's pretty decent in the ring, although I'm not super familar with him as I've only seen a few (maybe 3 or so) of his matches...so I can't comment on the crazy moves.

Working in TNA doesn't mean your exclusive to them.. Styles, Joe and Daniels all work Indy events in addition. Evans has gathered a lot of undeserved criticism for his high-flying antics, and he has worked more on his ground style this year. He also picked up a win against Homicide, always impressive. I think Evans will fit in nicely in the X-Division. Jack Evans is probably the best high flyer in the world through all times if you count *best* as the one who can do crazy stuff. He once did a 720 Moonsault out of a 15 foot steel cage.. and one time Samoa Joe clotheslined him so hard that he did like two revolutions before landing on his face.. his shoes came off as well, so you could say Joe clotheslined him out of his shoes.

While Teddy Hart is a jackass, pairing him up with Harry Smith and reforming some sort of 2nd generation Hart Foundation would be pretty big for their already solid tag team scene.

What TNA should beware is too many workers.. they are expanding, but do so slowly. They've already brought in Lethal and Homicide.. and possibly McGuinness. If I was to choose 1.. I'd choose Evans.

I'd like to see Teddy Hart come out on a live broadcast of TNA and shoot on Russo and Jarrett thusly getting fired faster than he was hired.  It would just add to the legend of Teddy Hart.

I've heard Teddy Hart has an ego three sizes too big and an attitude problem the size of Canada.  Sounds like a disgrace to the Hart name if you ask me, unlike Smith's and Neidhart's kids.

How would shooting on Russo help him getting fired? Russo has nothing to do with the TNA product.

He should just shoot on Russo anyway.

What if he were to just shoot Russo?
