This goes out to all the resident Brits on these boards.

What are your thoughts on the recently founded 1PW promotion? I mean, how can they afford all those American stars?

Abyss, Styles, Aries, Joe, Sabin, Lynn, Raven, Sandman, Dreamer... not to speak of Jeff Jarrett and Bret *friggin* Hart.. it all sounds like an American indy dream card.

I didn't know about this, where are they based? But yes, that must cost quite a bit. Unless Roman Abramovich is funding things, someone's digging deep.

Check out www.1-pw.com

They had a ton of American talent there on their first show, in addition to English talent such as Storm and Fleisch, and spot wrestlers such as Spud, Stevie Lynn, etc. The main event had AJ Styles vs Abyss, and there was also a three way dance between Sandman, Dreamer and Raven.

It's a double shot this weekend, with Bret Hart appearing.

It's in the Doncaster dome.

I'm seriously thinking about taking a trip from Norway for the next show, which is in March.

Ahhh yes, I remember now, I saw the listing of the first card and considered going, but Doncaster is a bit of a trek for me. Plus it'd involve going by train and I've long boycotted British Rail.

Can't you just take a plane? From what I remembered from my year in England, planes are cheaper than trains.

Anyway, while I doubt that this will survive for very long, it's a good opportunity for me to see some of my favorite wrestlers (and not having to travel all across the Atlantic, that is).

91, where do you live in England?

Gloucester. I'm not even aware of there being an airport there.

It's part of 1up Games, who sell wrestling merchandise, so they probably have a fair bit of cash.

This is mostly hear say but I think there's some truth to it...

They started on ebay, selling general Merchandise. It got bigger and bigger, some dude with money came along and said theres a hole in the market for wrestling in yorkshire area. He invested, more money was made through merchandise and so on. And now we're here.

Take that for what it's worth.

Well, it's certainly an interesting roster they present.. if they're holding any shows this summer, I might go over from Norway..
