Error 62 at... something.

Snabbit888Posted on 01/26/05 at 00:18:30

Error 62 is what I'm receiving, but that's all I've been able to see as it flashes too quickly before it closes out. Everything else seems to work fine, except I get this error when I try to access the ControlCenter. I used the Database Cleanup plugin and narrowed my tag teams/moves/managers/dives down to see if that would help, but alas, it did not (didn't really think it would). I've tried to run through a DOS shell, but for the life of me, I can't remember how to do so.

It worked fine as of yesterday, but I did leave my TNM open for much of the day as I was writing stuff, but was in and out of the house. Does prolonged usage like that have any effect?

UPDATE: Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be Error 62 at 101116,and now I can prove that with complete accuracy.

Ryan: run TNM through the DOS prompt by going to the Run command and typing Command.com.  This will open a DOS prompt without requiring you to figure out where the stupid icon is hidden.

In DOS, navigate to your TNM directory as follows:

Type "cd \" This will take you out of whatever directory you started in straight to the C:\ drive.

Type "cd whatever the directory that TNM is in is."  Or "cd progra~1" if it's somewhere in your program files folder.

Once in C:\YOURTNMDIRECTORYHERE>, type "TNM."  This will run TNM.BAT and get the program started.

Also, this *might* be an index problem. Delete all .IDX files in the DATA folder and fire up the ControlCenter. Does that help?
Snabbit888Posted on 01/26/05 at 09:09:43

Hrm, nope.  Same error.
Snabbit888Posted on 01/26/05 at 18:23:01

The problem has now spread, as when I try to access my GCW circuit, I get this error:

Error 53 at pgm-ctr: 43131

Hrm... quirky little program. :)
Oliver CoppPosted on 01/27/05 at 15:35:06

This means an index file hasn't been found. What *.IDX files does your DATA folder contain? What about the circuit folders?

Usually, this is easily fixable by running the Control Center.
Snabbit888Posted on 01/27/05 at 19:47:05

There are no .IDX files in my DATA folder because you had me delete them.  They reappear you say if I run the ControlCenter, but the Error 62 happens when I try to run the ControlCenter, so I can't access it.
Snabbit888Posted on 01/27/05 at 19:51:33

Okay, I fixed the Error 53 by just restoring all the .IDX files from my Recycle Bin, so I can access my circuit again. However, the Error 62 remains when I try to go to the ControlCenter.

I have updated with the new PROGRAM files recently... could that have triggered this?  Also, might installing a fresh TNM over my existing TNM help?  I won't lose data, correct?

It's definitely a problem with build B.  I had the same problem as you.

So I copied the TNM in question to the desktop for a backup.  Then I took another TNM's program files that had not been updated to build B.  Then I pasted them into the current TNM's program files, overwriting build B with just build 3.

Guess what happened?  It worked with no errors when accessing the control center.

Snabbit, RockStar - could you please send me your TNM folder zipped? I'll then offer help within 24 hours.
Snabbit888Posted on 02/01/05 at 06:37:45

Did you receive my TNM, Oliver?  My crappy free Hotmail/Yahoo/etc. e-mails have a wonderful tendency of not going through, especially when I have attachments.
Oliver CoppPosted on 02/06/05 at 13:58:42

I got something... a corrupt ZIP file which I was able to reconstruct after about half a day ;-)

Your TNM works fine here... no error when entering the Control Center, no error when accessing your circuit. Any ideas?
Snabbit888Posted on 02/06/05 at 20:00:51

Yay!  The magic of either my computer or my e-mail. :)

I was still having the trouble, so I went back to Build 3.  ControlCenter works fine now, but obviously it's not the most up-to-date version.  Hrm... not really sure.
Oliver CoppPosted on 02/13/05 at 09:23:36

So you're having the trouble with 3b only and not 3?
Snabbit888Posted on 02/13/05 at 19:40:31

Yes.  I took the PROGRAM files from a clean install of Build 3 and replaced the 3b files and it worked fine again.  I tried to install the Build 3b files over that same clean install and got the same error.
