Trouble getting started

censoredPosted on 02/10/05 at 07:16:56

I am having trouble getting started.

I downloaded the trail version and all the plug ins.

I then downloaded 2 wrestlers to the TNMz export file. I then went to the control center and imported those 2 files.

However I do know how to enter those wrestlers into the circuit I created or anything that would come next.

Ok.  You imported 2 wrestlers.

Go into your circuit (From the main screen -> Circuits -> Your circuit) then you may do one of two things.

Hire them (From inside your circuit -> wrestlers, then use the "hire" button to hire your wrestlers to whatever length contract you desire)

or

Put the circuit in e-mail mode, which allows all wrestlers to be used without hiring (From inside your circuit -> Circuit Menu -> About Circuit -> Change Configuration.    Once changed, it will say "Configuration: No Hiring neccessary)

Then when you're ready to book a card go to "Schedule new card" and select your match type and procede to book your match, choosing your wrestlers, hitting finished, selecting any options for your match and then hitting OK at each screen when you're done, then if it's all good, select yes and you will have successfully booked a match.  (Hurray!)  Then when you are done booking matches select "Save/Cancel card", then "Save card" and give your card a name (which can be changed later).  Then you will be brought back to your main circuit menu.  Select the card you just made to run it.  Ta-da.  Hope that helps, I think I explained it pretty fully.

Welcome to the boards (and to TNM).  Don't be afraid to ask further questions if you need to ;D

Though I'm sure there are people who can/will help you, the basic things like that can be found in the manual you can access through TNM.  Go there first, and then if you still have questions, we can help.

Yeah I tried the manuel but when my word processor was opened I got a repeating graphics loading error which continued until I closed it.

Thanks for the help so far. That was really quick, you guys are great.

I am still having a problem getting the wrestlers I imported to show up.

I brought in Abdullah the butcher and goldberg

If I open my exports file it shows both of their zipped folders

when I click Import both files are listed under the import (left) side of the column

I doubled clicked on abdullah and I get a completely blank (blue) screen with cursor that allowes me do to nothing.

I apologize if I come across as an idiot, because honestly when it comes to dos I probably am one.

That happens to me too.  Course... I don't really need it so it's not a big deal for me. ;)

We do what we can.  And for the record, I am slightly greater than Ryan ;) (j/k)
