Error 9 at pgm-ctr: 78729

Shaun SindelmanPosted on 01/02/05 at 21:09:48

I installed the MatchMaker plugin and then i imported some new wrestlers.

Now whenever I click on "Edit Circuit-Specific Database", I get Error 9 at pgm-ctr: 78729.

I've already run TNM7DIAG and got a clean bill of health.

427 wrestlers, 747 moves, 59 managers, 118 tag teams, 85 dives, and all my circuits checked out OK.

Where's the problem lie?

Okay, first off, I don't *think* this is MM specific, but if you can mail me the TEAMS.DAT file from within your circuit folder I'd be happy to verify that? :)

Update -

I've spoken with Socko and he knows that he needs to fix some stuff in his plugin so I would suggest not downloading it until he works out this major kink.

Also, it seems that this error was happening because my TEAMS.DAT file had been wiped clear by MatchMaker. So, I renamed my TEAMS.OLD to TEAMS.DAT and the error doesnt happen anymore and I can see all of my currently imported/created tag teams again.

Thanks again Shaun for locating and reporting this so soon :)

A fixed version of the plugin is available from here:

... and from here.

Shaun - I recommend deleting the TEAMS.IDX file in your circuit folder as the index is for the deleted version of your tag team file. Then go into the Circuit Specific Databases program to have it rebuilt.

I'm having the same problem that Shawn had.  I downloaded the Matchmaker 3 and then imported wrestlers.  Now my circuit specific Tag teams are messed up.  When I click on Edit-Circuit specific data bases I get the Error 9 at pgm-ctr: 78729 message.  I used the TNM diagnostic tool and my circuits checked out fine.  I'm using the newest Matchmaker file out.  I'm going to do the same trick Shawn did but I just thought you should know.

Very weird. I hope that after you rename your teams.old file, things work fine.

are you sure you downloaded the latest version?
the link in the above message from Troy (Socko) should point to the most current of versions.

I'm pretty sure that I did because I downloaded it after I saw the messages.  I'm going to delete the matchmaker file and download from his site to make sure.
