Visualizer Battle Royale Bug

triad4evrPosted on 12/20/04 at 00:45:07

Just noticed that while running a 30 man battle royale for a title, about 1/4 the guys didn't get "X"ed out when they should have been, mostly in the top third of the list. Just thought I'd pass it along.

Hmmm... could you please verify that only one instance of TNMGS.EXE is running? You can do that in the Process Viewer (CTRL+ALT+DEL, then Tasks Manager).

will do. I will try another one. This isn't the first time I've seen that happen, though. The last Battle Royale I ran had some guys not get Xed out.

Did you watch the match or skip it (or fast-forward)?

I watched it straight through. I did check, after I got your response, and there was a TNMGS.exe running even though I wasn't even running TNM at the time. What does it do?

It's the Visualizer binary. If your TNM crashes or is closed via the "x" icon in the top-left corner of the screen, TNM can't shut it down and it keeps running.

When two of these are running, they gobble up each other's messages, thus causing the effect you observed.

Good to know. No doubt in my mind that the one that was running even tho TNM wasn't was _also_ running when I ran that card, so that's probably exactly it. I will keep an eye on that!
