I am one of those plauged Windows Vista users, so I downloaded DosBox, the only problem is tgge fact that I have no idea how to use it.  I would greatly appreciate if someone could walk me through getting my TNM set up step-by-step.  Thanks.

First off, install DosBox (I personally use the Korean-Developed CVS build, as it has a nice GUI).

In DosBox (or the config), you'll need to mount a working directory for your Dos stuff

In my case, it's
mount c c:\games
This makes my c:\games become DosBox' C:\

I have TNM installed to my c:\games\trnm7se (in DosBox it appears as c:\tnm7se)

This means, in DosBox, I cd\tnm7se

From there, I run TNM like normal (Though I personally up the display rate to max in TNM, as it's generally slow in DosBox)

Thanks for the help so far.  However, when I install it, TNM stops on determining system speed and the DOSBox system window says remove write-protection.  Any hints on how I would do that?

By default, Windows NT (2K, XP, Vista, 7) has most folders set to Read Only.

Right click the folder you want TNM in, and set it to not be Read Only.

I really hate to ask for more help, but I have gotten all the way to finish installation, however, after that it just won't go any further.  Any suggestions?  Any help at all will be greatly appreciated

I've personally never gotten TNM to *INSTALL* from inside DosBox (I had it installed already from a previous Windows). I get the lockup as well.

The TNM Members Champ and ROH, Indy, and Puro Mark69 both apparently got it to work, so they'll have to take over from here ;->

Actually. I don't use DosBox for TNM on my computer, I have Vista 32 Bit, so I don't need DosBox to run it, I was just going by what other people told me. Personally, I stay away from 64 bit OSes as much as possible.

I can't remember if I got TNM to install from DosBox. I think I actually just copied from my older laptop and moved it to the new laptop.

Regardless, I wish Oliver would do something about this. Or at the least, provide an update on TNM.

I was able to get it to install but can't DosBox to actually run tnm.bat.  Anytime I try all I get is "Invalid command:  start"

Any ideas?

Ok, I have TNM installed, but when I try to run the TNM.bat file, the DOSBox status window says "SHELL:Redirect output to tnm.pid"

Any suggestions?

I'm getting the same thing, which is still better than I have been getting.

Anysuggestions at all?
