Problem with Circuit Editor SE

americamamushiPosted on 10/23/04 at 04:39:47

I had a match that went just under 60 minutes.  I need to edit a few lines of action in the match.  I can delete parts, but I can't add anything in.

If the results are too long, can you not add new text?

I know this isn't the place to ask but will there be any more rules coming from you, mushi?
americamamushiPosted on 10/24/04 at 02:04:40

perhaps, perhaps not.  I kinda got writer's block on my ruleset so chances are it'll just stay a 6 month ruleset, which for alot of people should be enough to get them jump started.  If anyone wants to write additions to the ruleset feel free to pick up where I left off.  I'd post them along with the first 6 monthes.

There is a chance I could start a completely new ruleset or ruleset-like aid in the future.  I've been tossing around a couple ideas, but nothing for sure yet.

Should I assume that makes you a fan?  I like fans. :)

I am certainly a fan of rulesets. You can check out my circuit based on yours in the TNM Circuits section. It's JHW.

mamushi - I haven't been able to duplicate that yet. Does this only happen in the edit box when you have the "highlights" tab selected?
americamamushiPosted on 10/31/04 at 22:39:34

Yeah, thats the only time it happened and it hasn't happened since (of course, I haven't had any matches run that long since either I don't think) I just figured I couldn't add stuff because the match was already so long

Actually, I just checked MSDN for something like this happening. I can confirm that it is a limitation inside Windows' Edit Control (the one which is used there). According to MSDN, it should have been fixed with XP SP2 but it still happens on all of my systems running XP SP2.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any workaround at this point.
