"executes 0"?

John ProulxPosted on 10/01/04 at 18:53:57

This happened on the first card I ran after installing Build 3 (and TweakCirc SE 3).

I was running a match -- the finals of a 4-team tournament for my tag team titles -- and had hit the 'f' key to go to the end. When I hit 'w' to rewind to the match ending, this text came up:

Ryan Magnum nails Hardcore Harris with The Sharpshooter.
Simon Patrick executes 0 and goes for the pin.

Followed by this in the match results:

Shades of Grey (Simon Patrick and Ryan Magnum) defeated
The Dynasty (Hardcore Harris and Sinistar) when Patrick pinned HH after the 0
in 0:08:49.

Now, it looks like what happened here is that this tag team hit their tag finisher -- where Patrick hits a move called the St. Paul Senton (a springboard somersault senton, renamed using the Special Move Wizard) while Magnum's Sharpshooter is applied, and the pin occurred.

It doesn't end there. This is still in the circuit I set up for Beta Testing. Prior to running this card, I had deleted all teams from the Circuit-Specific Tag Team database, and was thus using Shades of Grey out of the main database. Looking at the Tag Team Contenders list in the Weight Class Wizard, the two teams that Shades of Grey defeated are not picking up points in the list. The only points coming up in the list are for the other round one match, where The Dynasty (+4) defeated The Outsiders (-4).

By the way...for tag team matches, shouldn't a team only get +4 if they use their actual tag team finisher and not just one of the wrestlers' singles finisher?

So...you can't stop the weirdness, you can only hope to contain it  ;) .

Any other weirdness you found so far :)?

I'm pretty sure this is more related to the circuit than the new Build.

Thanks!

Oliver

So...does this mean you want to see my TNM again? You know, I think you've probably done more with this circuit than I have 8).

I'm still waiting for an answer on this one...any luck yet, Oliver? I've been putting off any testing and such while this is in the works.

None so far, John... maybe your TNM *would* be great *grins sheepishly*

Thanks in advance!

You can't stop the weirdness...

I sent you a copy a couple days after this post (about 10/4 or so). If you don't have it, let me know and I will re-send it.
