Can't Install Via Vista

PulsarPosted on 02/01/09 at 20:06:31

Ok, so I have 64-bit Vista, and can't even install TNM. I've run it through dosbox and it stops after "Determining System Speed" I let it run over 1/2 hour just in case I was being impatient.

When I check the dosbox it says the two dll files are write-protected, and maybe that's causing it?

Any ideas?

Think it was mentioned in another thread that TNM won't run on 64-bit Vista, because it's a...16-bit program? Something like that.

DosBox can RUN TNM,  but I seem to recall having issues INSTALLING TNM in DosBox.

(And yes, I run TNM in DosBox on 64bit Vista all the time :-P)

If you can, try to install TNM on another OS, and transfer it over (You can probably install on a Virtual Machine, in fact)

You can install via DOSBOX, the only issue is getting the plugins to work

Yeah, it's the install on DosBox that's not working. Not sure how to get around this, but I'll try what I can. Thanks for the help guys.

You just have to use DosBox and have it point to wherever you've saved the TNM install file. It worked for me.
