Odd Injury Problem

AnubisPosted on 07/04/04 at 23:36:12

For some reason, every card I run subtracts 2 cards from the amount of time any wrestler is injured.  Why is that happening?

I haven't messed with the multiplier at all.  I simply have a normal circuit.  I noticed this in TNM7 FE as well, and it's still there in TNM7 SE.  For everyone that's injured, the number of cards goes down by 2 every card instead of one.

The amount of cards it says a wrestler is injured is an estimated.  Sometimes the wrestler will recover slower/faster than expected (well, at least faster... now that I think about it, I've never seen slower).

Actually, i seem to be seeing this as well.  While I understand that the number is an estimate, the last 3 injuries I've notes have decreased by 2 cards for each card that passed.  Granted, 3 examples is hardly statistically significant, but it may be worth looking at anyway just to make sure everything is behaving the way it should.  It shouldn't be that hard to check using Circuit Tweaker.  Just start a test circuit, use CTweaker to edit most of your roster as injured for the same period (10 months, for example), and run a few cards with 1 match each on them.  Afterwards, check your Roster screen.  If this is working, people should have scattered numbers of time remaining for their recovery.  If it is misbehaving in the way noted, then everyone should have 2 times the number of months run less then what was originally estimated.

I'll see if I can't run that sort of test later tonight.

I just ran the test.  A large sample size shows that what I was observing was indeed just a coiuncedence.  It was worth checking, though.  Only took 10 minutes.

So sometimes it's supposed to do that?  I wish Oliver would comfirm or deny for sure one way or the other.

I believe he has confirmed this somewhere.  My test had 22 wrestlers each injured for 10 cards.  After 4 cards had passed, they had a range of remaining injury time from 2 cards to 7 if memory serves.  There might have been an 8, but I don't think so.  Most of them seemed to be around the 4-5 range.

I confirm that injuries may heal more or less (yes, that can happen, too) quickly than anticipated :)

Thanks!
