Hey guys and gals (if there are any out there) I was wondering how much advance planning you all do for your circuits.  I have just started a Smackdown circuit (CHEAP PLUG!!!) and I have a lot of stuff planned but I was wondering how much you all do.  Thanks.

I do about 2 or 3 months ahead of time worth of planning.  I'm in June TNM time for gCW, but I have stuff through September planned.

Generally a few months in advance for most storylines, but occassionally for perhaps the world title scene, I plan up to a year in advance (after that, it's 50/50 as to whether or not I stick to the original plan).

I don't book anything, so I don't plan much. Usually I sim a card...then come up with ideas, and repeat for the next week. Booking on the fly and making it work is FUN!

And, I just started a whole new fed, but it's not quite ready for public viewing yet.

I usually don't plan ahead either, unless I'm dead set on having something happen.  But even then I don't book my circuits so it could easily get messed up (and usually does) :)

I usually don't book my match finishes. Although I do book spots during matches a nice bit! About the only time I book match finishes is when someone gives notice and they have a title (depends how many cards they have left in their contracts after giving notice) I usually do book debut matches too, however. I don't like wrestlers losing their debuts unless they are meant to be jobbers. The only thing I do book besides the above the order of entrance into a royal rumble match (I use a random system by putting names into a hat and pulling them out one at a time, the first entrant and the final entrant are pre-selected by me, the rest are decided by the hat thing. I wish we could book the order on entrance in the elimination chamber, though. That would be sweet.

My pre-planning ranges from none whatsoever all the way to booking 13 cards in advance.  Just depends on what I am trying to do within the circuit.  A lot of times, I'll decide what I want the card to be for my "major cards" and then fill in the blanks to get there.  And it's not as easy as it would seem.  Although it did seem to work rather well for my last circuit.  :)

And it seems to be heading that way for Championship Wrestling.  So far, I've booked from 6 cards in advance up to no cards in advance depending on what week of rules I've been on.  ;)

Well, actually for me It depends on the circuit I am running. If I'm running a "shoot fed", such as many puroreso matches are, then I don't book anything. However, if I'm running a WWE circuit, I try to book a nice bit, depending on the match (I generally don't book title matches though)

What I said earlier about booking only spots and stuff, I meant in the current test circuit I'm running.

MAYBE A MONTH OR TWO IN ADVANCE. JUST SPURT OF THE MOMENT MAKES IT FUN!

Having tinkered with many circuits over the years, I have gone from no planning to booking to match storylines for 6 months at a time.

With my more successful ratings oriented Circuits, I will plan out the theme of the PPVs for a year and work to stay within that timeframe.  i.e. a Battle Royal winner in January gets a World Title shot in March/April, then he gets a fair amount of a Push increase between then, and the storylines to match, but rarely do I book match outcomes.

I will usually plan ahead PPV to PPV.  I run 4 normal cards between PPVs.  Plotting out the PPV matches, then the weeks leading up to  the PPV to build the heat and storylines in my head.

Then I only have to make minimal adjustments for Injuries.

I know I posted here twice before, so it may make me seem a tad bit hypocritical. But, shouldn't this thread be on the discussion board, and not the help board?

I usually plan bug matches afew weeks in advance but  i come up with alot of the undercard on the fly. That and I take alot of what happens on one card (interferance, dq's, etc.) and make a storyline for the next few cards.
