What really decides how good a wrestler is?
Anubis | Posted on 07/04/04 at 21:11:02 Okay, I have strict pushes off, and I read all about how push works in that case. That leaves me wondering, though, how TNM7SE decides who's gonna win a match. How do you "create a winner"? I recently ran a tournament, and a wrestler with 70 defeated three people with 80, three people with 90, and three others with 100 to capture the belt. In fact, even when I have strict pushes on, it's not at all uncommon for anyone with 75+ to be winning over those with 100. What levels should push be set at, both in strict pushes and non-strict pushes, in order to be able to figure out who's going to win most of the time? What other factors are there? How does TNM7SE really decide winners? |

DarkAndEvilBastard | Posted on 07/05/04 at 09:43:28 When pushes are properly scaled, I have no problems figuring out who winning in a strict pushes fed, except for the occasional upset. For instance, I'm running a TNM universe, and three of the four heavyweight champs have pushes of 100 in their fed (Jarrett, HHH & Undertaker) with the other champ having a push of 98 (Savage)... Unfortunately, we REALLY need a setting for Tag pushes...so you can have America's Most Wanted or The Dudley Boyz as the undisputed top team without having to give them singles pushes in the 90s plus. |

Anubis | Posted on 07/05/04 at 21:59:16 OH! I think I see the problem now. I looks like even my "openers" were upper midcarders as I have them. I never did understand the values, now that I think about it. Currently, I've had the values like so: Main Event: 100 Upper Midcard: 90 Midcard: 80 Lower Midcard: 70 Opener: 60 Jobber: 50 That explains why Sekhmet own the belt . . . After reading those threads, I take it the actual values are more like so: Main Event: 100 Upper Midcard: 80 Midcard: 60 Lower Midcard: 40 Opener: 20 Jobber: 0 Do I got it right now? EDIT: One more thing . . . Since strict pushes only determine if a finish is acceptable, would the above values still usually hold true if you don't have strict pushes on? |
