Cubed Troubles, DOH!

Owen Hart RIPPosted on 06/22/04 at 16:32:20

Every time I try and run an FCA cubed match I get subscript out of range errors, and I have the newest version. So that's not it, what's the problem?

Sorry but I can't offer any help nor advice here as I do not have access to the source code of this plugin.

I suggest contacting Mike Sweetser, the person who wrote the plugin.

Hey Owen

I have similar problems.  :-/

What I've noticed is that, in my case, it happens with some matches but not with others.  For instance, my Fall-Count-Anywhere match works just fine but my Evening Gown match always gets "subscript out of range" errors.

I used to get the same error in my Fall-Count-Anywhere match.  In a temper-fueled fit, I deleted the match and re-wrote it from scratch.  Lo and behold, the new match (which was identical to the old match) worked just fine.

As a result, I think the bug is in FCA Match Editor rather than FCA Cubed.  The glitch is being written into the match and thus casuing the error.

About the only thing you can do is re-write the match from scratch and HOPE the glitch doesn't get written into it again.

I should point out that I know nothing about programming and could very easily be talking nonsense here.

They were actually matches I downloaded, and not written myself! I did write the High School Brawl several years ago, and can't even get that one working! I wrote that way back when version 1.2 or something along that nature was out! I was going to write a newer version of it but never got around to it! There were a couple spots in the original that I did not like such as the gorilla press over the water fountain. I don't want to see AJ Styles gorilla pressing Big Show period, so I may write it again with that particular spot as ramming his opponent's head into the waterfountain since that would sound more realistic
