DOS only problem

ggazooPosted on 06/22/08 at 21:59:17

I'm trying to run TNM 7 in DOS only. I copied a pre-installed version of TNM to the directory that I want to use. I then typed this:

C:\>tnm.bat

and I get this:

C:\>

What would cause this, and how could I fix it? Do I have to configure a file differently?

Where exactly is tnm.bat?

Are your TNM files really just in C:?

Not C:\TNM7SE or something like that?

C:>cd/TNM7SE

C:\TNM7SE>tnm.bat

Also, copying TNM7 from one directory into another doesn't usually work, because TNM7 will still be looking for the files it needs to run in the directory it was INSTALLED to, not the one it was copied into. If you need to, try installing a brand new version into the same directory, then try the method Jake mentioned in the Dos Prompt, and see if that doesn't help.

I have a DOS problem as well and it is to do with the keypad. When I run TNM and use the shift key to press "~", a "\" comes up instead. Also, when I want a " " ", I get a "@". Hope you understand what I mean - a different character comes up when I use the shift key. Anybody know how to get round this?
