Regarding the Ratings Editor

Hi all,

I was under the impression that the ratings editor would allow you to change records along with deleting them. Am I doing something wrong with it?

And one more thing - when I choose to 'optimize' my ratings, what exactly does that do? How does TNM know exactly what needs to be optimized?

Thanks.

Ratings can't be edited, period. Covered this a few times before but here goes: ratings are compiled "on the fly" from the points a wrestler has accumulated over the course of his matches (one lump sum) and his wins, losses and draws.

Since the placement of every wrestler in the ratings depends on not just his personal numbers but also those of all the other wrestlers, editing isn't something that can be done.

"Optimize" means: "delete all records from the ratings that feature wrestlers no longer under contract AND look for wrestlers that appear multiple times and add up their numbers".

Okay, thank you.

Last question - If I fire a guy and then I optimize, will the wrestler still have his record in the database if I hire him again later?

No, this wrestler's record will be deleted when he is no longer part of your circuit. This feature is specifically designed to make sure his "old" stats don't carry over when he is rehired.
