Anyone Else Get This Problem?

DominusPosted on 09/12/03 at 20:55:19

I don't know if it's just a bug or something, or if just some of the referees do it, but When the Time Limit expires, The ref sometimes lets the match continue!!!!!  AND PISSES ME OFF!!!  Damm bastard guy!  I have the No Time Limit Extensions clicked, but once in awhile where there is a really good match and I want it to go to the time limit for the draw, the stupid ass ref lets the match continue!  AHHH!  >:(

I'm currently trying to circle in on it, altough I'm not entirely sure what circumstances trigger this.

So, you're saying "No Time Limit Extensions" is set... is there anything special about the matches where you've seen it happen? Did they have booked spots of some kind?

Nope not at all. Just a regular Tag Team match... Oh but wait, like I mentioned before in a previous post, there were 2 tag teams interferring in that match as well so that could have triggered it. Because this was the situation:

WWWF World Tag Team Champions
(Lafon/Furnas) Can-Am Express

vs

(Ventura/Adonis) East-West Connection

in a Non Title Match....

Well Demolition (Ax/Smash) interferred against Can-Am Express and Strike Force (Santana/Martel) against East-West Connection. I have the log file, just give me well I'll just check it. Because see the only way I could see the ref letting the time limit go on, is if interferences had not occured yet, but.... and I'll check in just one second if I had "Force Interference" Checked... Ok yes "Force Interference is checked.... and in the log file:

OK so far:

Phil LaFon rolls out under the bottom rope.
** Ax ambushes Phil LaFon from behind.
Adrian Adonis takes Phil LaFon down with a DDT.
that was during the 2:50 mark

The crowd is behind Phil LaFon all the way.
** Smash throws Jesse Ventura the ring bell.
Jesse Ventura hits Phil LaFon with it and goes for the pin.
Joey Marella threatens Jesse Ventura with disqualification.
that was during the 7:20 mark

Phil LaFon hits Adrian Adonis with a bodyslam.
** Ax throws Adrian Adonis brass knuckles, but Phil LaFon intercepts it.
Phil LaFon hits Adrian Adonis with it and goes for the pin.
Joey Marella threatens Phil LaFon with disqualification.
that was during the 23:00 mark

Jesse Ventura is going for the cover.
Joey Marella counts: One, shoulder up.
The bell rings. The time limit has expired.
Joey Marella lets the match continue.
Jesse Ventura catches Doug Furnas in a chokehold.
that was at the 30:00 (My Time Limit) Mark, so it looks as though since Strike Force had not interferred yet, that is why the match had to continue... Well atleast that's my observations from viewing this. I'll see how the rest of the log looks, and if and when Strike Force even attacked...

Joey Marella counts: One, two, thr... kickout.
Phil LaFon whips Jesse Ventura into the ropes.
** Rick Martel pulls down the top rope.
Joey Marella threatens Phil LaFon with disqualification.
OK finally they interferred at the 48:20 mark. And then the match must have ended on the next page and I just restarted the match, because that's pretty much that last part in the log before the match got restart. So I guess the interferrence thing is what "made" the ref continue the match.

So then my question for you Oliver is if I uncheck "Force Interference" what will that do? Like will a wrestler just come to ringside to attack another wrestler, but nothing will happen and the match will still end normally? And if so be it, if they had not attacked by the time limit, the ref would not allow the match to continue? Am I right? Are there any other side effects of Checking or Unchecking "Force Interference"??

Ha this was kind of fun, trying to figure out why this kept happening. Hopefully it helps you if it was a bug or anything...

Thank You Again!

That's exactly what I was going to be getting at. If you have "Force Interference" checked, that will overrule time limits until interference has taken place.

If "Force Interference" is unchecked, sometimes matches will be able to end without interference that had been teased (wrestler coming to ringside) actually taking place.

Personally, I'd prefer it this way because in real life, sometimes wrestlers also just watch and don't interfere.

Yeah that sounds good, I'll uncheck it now that I know what it really means.  Thanks for the help!
