I made a mistake...

RKLPosted on 08/26/03 at 05:50:05

I accidentally booked an Iron Man match with no-time-limit... it's my main event of my big ppv. Is there any way for me to tell TNM7 to end the match, or i could edit some file to turn off the no-time-limit flag... i dunno something that would allow the match to end?

I'm afraid that won't be possible because these flags are encoded in binary fashion meaning that each flag is represented by one bit in a long integer number.

If you already started the match, you will have to edit CARD.CNF. Look for a single line containing a capital "I". Change it to a lower-case "y". Then resume the match.

If you haven't started the card yet, edit CARD.UDI and look for a line with the string "-I-". Change it to "-y-". This will make it a one-fall match.

I had already started the match.

I found the line you told me to edit, but nothing seemed to change when I resumed the match. It still kept going on and on with the multiple falls.

The part of the file looked like this:

2
0
0
0
1
1
I
1
0
0

And I changed it to this:

2
0
0
0
1
1
y
1
0
0

Is this right?

Yes, that is right. What I forgot to think of, though, is that some of the other numbers need to be changed as well.

Is there any possibility you could shut down the match or restart the card after editing CARD.UDI as outlined above?

I could shut down the match of course, but it's the main event with a build up of 8 cards before it. That's why I was hoping someone could help me end the match.

I want to avoid restarting the whole card, because all of my titles except one changed hands; and it's my biggest card so far.

One additional idea.

If you edited CARD.UDI already, there's one more way to do it.

Edit the CARD.NBR file which contains two lines. Subtract 1 from the second line, ie. if it contains a 9, change it to an 8 and so on.

Then open a DOS shell and CD to the TNM 7 SE folder, then to the circuit folder. Finally type:

..\program\pbr cardsrv

That will reinitialize the match.

I worked well, changed my no-time-limit iron man match to a no-time-limit cage match :) (5 stars too!) Thanks for your help Oliver. I really appreciate it. ;D

Who were the fighters? :)

Two fantasy wrestlers I created.
