SeanOHaireWCWPosted on 08/31/03 at 01:09:00

Hello all,

I have Win XP and on 7SE I am not able to view the media clips for more then 5 seconds in the background of the screen.  Why are the videos not playing well in XP?

Please help...

If they start up, it's out of TNM's hands. TNM launches the Windows Media Player as a MCI host and simply tells it what to play and when to stop. Everything else is Windows' doing... or undoing.

My best suggestion is to run Windows Update and/or get the most recent version of the Windows Media Player.

Is there any other type of player i can use for this?  Thx Oliver

For MPG, theoretically you *could* use an MPEG player. However, I'm not aware of any player which can play WMV or ASF files that doesn't use the Windows Media Player's MCI interface.

Technically, if the WMP isn't working correctly for you, that'd be the place to start....
