TweakCirc + a couple of other questions

trellianPosted on 08/19/03 at 13:44:08

I recently tried to install the trial version of TweakCirc SE, but received this message: "Sorry, but you need an updated version of TNM7.

I am using TNM SE, and downloaded TweakCirc SE as well. Where do I run the application from? The main TNM directory, or do I have to put it into a subdirectory (program, data, etc).

Also, I was wondering about the card multiplier option. Is the default in TNM that you run 1 card a week? I had Goldberg injured for 8 cards with a broken ankle, so does this actually mean he will be out for 8 weeks? I run 2 cards a week by the way.

Last question: Will you be able to renew contracts when they are about to expire? How and when?

OK, I found out about the last question myself, so just forget about that. Maybe it should have been possible to renew/expand a wrestlers contract before it expires, though.

Do not run TWEAKCSE.EXE directly :-)

Unzip TWEAKCSE.ZIP into the NEWPLUGS folder which sits right in your TNM 7 SE folder, then start up TNM and it will auto-install the plugin.

He will be out for eight weeks in that case - 8 x 2 = 16 cards.

I thought 1 Card in TNM = 1 Month, so wouldn't he be out 8 Months?
CarlzillaPosted on 08/20/03 at 02:55:49

you can set it up for any way you want...I have it set up for weeks for the Super Fed I am in...5 cards = one week.

Thanks for the help Oliver! I really hope Goldberg isn't out for 8 months, that would totally screw up everything. I do not want to "uninjure" him either, trying to be realistic here.
DominusPosted on 08/20/03 at 10:26:31

Yeah basically you can set it up for whatever you like.  But would wrestler's really sign cards for only 1 year at a max?  Or if a wrestler broke his back or whatever do you think he would be back in 6 weeks?  Look at how long HHH and Nash were out for.  I know it sucks, but it makes for interesting stories.  Face it, if HHH didn't get injured, and have the big huge comeback (Like HBK did when Owen knocked him out) he probably wouldn't be as big as he is now.

No, defintely not. It all depends on the injury though. A broken ankle isn't a light injury, but it all depends on the severity of the fracture. He could be out for as little a 2 months, or as much as 8 months. I think I'll stick to 2 months though.
Crowpocalyptic1Posted on 08/20/03 at 17:44:38

ok, here's the math to go by. If you have the card multiplier at "x" and the injury is for "y" cards, then take x times y to find "z" the amount of cards he will really be out for.
