Odd problem when scheduling cards

EumelPosted on 08/04/03 at 11:41:31

Whenever I try to schedule a card (even on a freshly installed TNM7SE) I get a general protection fault at 0C3C:1EDD and TNM crashes. As the betas worked fine, I decided to 'downgrade' TNM to Beta 12 (I still had the .zip sitting around on my HD) and it all again worked well.

What is happening here? At the moment it means I'm unable to run TNM7SE...

Oh, by the way, I'm running Win98 with plenty of free DOS memory (597k or somesuch).

Any help will be appreciated :)

This problem seems to be with some builds of Windows 95 and Windows 98.

Please right-click the "DOS Prompt" icon on your Windows desktop and click "Properties".

Then look for a checkbox along the lines of "Prevent Application From Detecting Windows" and make sure it is checked.

I have no idea why this helps but apparently it does.

Also, if you haven't installed the 8/4 build of 7SE, I'd recommend doing that, too.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that works indeed. Thanks a lot :)
