SCHOOL OF HARD KNOX - HEAVY HITTERS
DATE: AUGUST 19 2005
LOCATION: AMAZURA BALLROOM - JAMAICA, QUEENS, NY

Tonight, Hard Knox crowned their first Heavy Hitters in a 8 team tournament. Also in action we saw Chris Benoit defend his Head of the Class title against Juventud Guerrera.

Let's go to the ring for the first round action in the Heavy Hitters tournament.

Interview segment:
Confrontation between Terry Funk and Shane Douglas

We were all set to announce the two teams that would face off in the first match of the Heavy Hitters tournament when Shane Douglas came out to the ring and immediately called out Terry Funk.

Funk came down to the ring and got in the face of Douglas. Douglas taunted Funk by saying "You may have TRIED to finish me off last month but as you can see, i'm still standing. What do you think about THAT, Funker?".

Funk didn't blink before he threw the first punch and the two men began to brawl. Upon being pulled apart, Shane grabbed a mic and challenged Funk to a street fight later in the night.

I'm sure Funk is not going to turn that challenge down.

With the ring cleared, we were finally able to start the tournament. First match up put super team Rhyno & BJ Whitmer up against The Flock (Raven & Tommy Dreamer).

The SAT showed up tonight and walked out as the NEW Heavy Hitters.

Congrats to them!

Card rating: ***

Next month will be our "Back to School" event. The lineup is shaping up like this:

*Four Corner Tag Team Battle
America's Most Wanted
vs
BJ Whitmer & Rhyno
vs
2/3-rds of The Triple Threat (D'Lo Brown & Palumbo)
vs
Scott Starring & Van Wild

*Two rivalries will be combined in 6 man action as
The Suicide Kings team up with Triple Threat member, Johnny Ace against Chris Sabin, Zach Gowen and Terry Funk

*Mohammed Yone is so pissed at Steve Austin that he has challenged him to a final blowout match.
And the LOSER is expelled from Hard Knox for good.

*Perry Saturn and Buff-E will continue their tag team rivalry but this time, it's just the two of them in the ring - one on one.

*Chris Benoit was also be in action against an unknown opponent. How will Benoit recover after being dethroned as the Head of the Class earlier tonight?

*NEW Head of the Class will be in the ring in NON TITLE competition against Kevin Ridge.

All this and much more to come.

**UPDATE** It seems that Christopher Daniels has signed to HARD KNOX for a 1 year contract. Daniels was quoted to say "I signed for a year but all I need is 1 month to embarass Styles the way I always intended to."

where OH where is americanmamushi? Seems like he's the only one I ever get consistent replies from everytime a new card comes out.

Sorry, I haven't really been in a great mood lately so I'm pretty hit and miss when it comes to feeling like posting.

I'll try and muster something up for you later tonight though lil buddy. :)

I'm new to this fed, but I'll try to keep up with it.

I like the mix of wrestlers you have here - a lot of classic ECW guys and a lot of new indy guys. Some of the guys I've never heard of, though, so it's hard to visualize some of the stuff.

How come the team of D'Lo and Ace weren't in the tournament? I probably would have put my money on it.

I like Juvy going over on Benoit. It's pretty cool seeing Juvy represent a promotion.

Not a big fan of the Maximos and would have preferred Williams and Goto going all the way (even though I was rooting for Dreamer/Raven), but the results fit well. Good job on the write up and I'll try to reply as often as I can.

One question - in the upcoming card section, it says 2/3rds of the Triple Threat, D'Lo & Palumbo, and then also says Triple Threat member Johnny Ace - is Shane Douglas also in the Triple Threat? Fill me in...

Thanks for becoming a considerable follower.

yea - some are fantasy wrestlers and i've explained a bit about them in previous postings. if you are interested, read up on them to get an idea as to where Hard Knox has been thus far.

Not sure why I didn't put them in but i'm definitely gonna be pushing for them to get a title shot soon. sometimes it's the comments like that from followers that give me ideas for directions to take people in.

thank ya thank ya again - i was surprised by the luck of The SAT myself. Then again who better to represent a federation based out of Jamaica, Queens, NY than a couple of spanish champions.

Shane is the "leader/manager" of The Triple Threat (kinda like how JJ Dillon was for The Four Horsemen) so he does not get counted in the 3.

Here's your back comment Shaun.  You better enjoy it ;)

Ah, the crowning of a tag champion.

Would have liked to see Rhyno & Whitmer go on further, but the Flock rightly went over.

Interesting mystery partner in Goto.

Kinda surprised that the SKs didn't go over

Again, kinda surprised as the Maximos go over the Flock, but I suppose this way they can concentrate on singles stuff.  And at least they made it this far before losing.

Sabin still can't shake SpikyJim.

The Flock totally screwed Benoit.  I demand justice!  I wonder how long it'll take before Raven decides he doesn't like Juvy overshadowing him in his own stable

Doctor Zero a fantasy wrestler?

Maximos win!  Williams & Goto would have seemed like an odd couple as champions to me anyway.  Quite the debut for the Maximos.

Well Rhyno & Whitmer will surely get more chances to get over on The Flock in the months to come.

Interesting mystery partner in Goto.
Yea - i had to Google him to get the idea behind him.

Kinda surprised that the SKs didn't go over
Well yea but Sabin & Gowen are the only team that it worked well for them to hand a loss to The Kings.

Again, kinda surprised as the Maximos go over the Flock, but I suppose this way they can concentrate on singles stuff.  And at least they made it this far before losing.
Raven is consumed with everything so i'm sure he'll return back to tag team action eventually or else he'll throw Dreamer in the ring with someone else to grab the gold.

Sabin still can't shake SpikyJim.
Spiky is one persistent f*cker.

The Flock totally screwed Benoit.  I demand justice!  I wonder how long it'll take before Raven decides he doesn't like Juvy overshadowing him in his own stable
As long as it takes for me to find an opponent worthy to book the title change to. =)

Doctor Zero a fantasy wrestler?
Nope - he wrestled for USA Pro Wrestling last month but I picked him out of the air because the original person chosen by TNM was Gail Kim. DAMN "M" KEY!!!

Maximos win!  Williams & Goto would have seemed like an odd couple as champions to me anyway.  Quite the debut for the Maximos.
Yea - i never would've been able to properly book a tag team if i don't know much bout one of the partners.
