Match Observations:

This is absolutely unbelievable !

Hollywood Hogan helped The Rock win the WWF World Title from Brian Christopher.
Why ? Right now nobody can even *try* to explain that.

Fact of the matter is, Rock was partly responsible for Hogan's loss to WWF
newcomer Edge who is making a big splash on the WWF scene. When Hogan appeared
at ringside in the main event, everybody thought he was going to screw the
Rock out of the WWF Title as his way of saying "goodbye". After all, this was
Rock's final WWF match after losing a "Loser Leaves WWF" match against Hogan
at the King of the Ring in June.

What on earth was his motivation to do this ? Maybe we will know more by the
Royal Rumble...

There's one thing I can tell you, though: nobody was more surprised about what
happen than the Rock when he saw how exactly he won the title on the Titantron.

So, as of right now, the WWF has a champion who effectively has been released.
Where are they going to go from here ?

The Intercontinental Title also changed hands tonight, as Shawn Michaels
redeemed himself against Kendo Ka Shin who handed him such a bad loss on RAW
a few weeks ago.

Bret Hart and Val Venis came out of the Four-Way Dance just like they went in
there: as the WWF World Tag Team Champions. Steve Williams and Stan Hansen will
be getting a rematch - two on two - at the Royal Rumble.

Sabu has driven Rob Van Dam out of the WWF for the time being and is in line
for a shot at the WWF World Title soon.

Masato Tanaka bested Dave Finlay in their Final War. When the regulation time
ended after 30 minutes, they were tied with three falls each. Initially, they
were given nine more minutes which also went by without any side pinning the
opponent. Then they got another five minutes which also couldn't break the tie.
Finally, they got another few minutes in which Masato Tanaka scored two pins
and swayed the match in his favor. Congratulations !!

And finally, it seems like the friendship between Ken Shamrock and Chris Benoit
has been severely strained. Speaking of Shamrock, he will make his WWF return
at the Royal Rumble and defend his Brawl For All title against Dave Finlay.

See you then !
