Match Observations:

The Acolytes have debuted on the WWF scene with a major bang by so thoroughly
annihilating the Dudley Boys. They have the skill, the will and the aggressive
style to become a force to be reckoned with.

Cooler heads thankfully prevailed in the dispute between Ken Shamrock and
Chris Benoit. Both saw and acknowledged that they had made a mistake by
attacking the other and now they're back together. WWF officials have arranged
a title shot for them at In Your House. Their opponents: Steve Williams and
Stan Hansen, who defeated former champions Cactus Jack and Sabu in their final
tag team match ever.

New Brawl For All champion David Finlay suffered a crushing loss against the
debuting Godfather who made a mark for himself by outlasting the master of
brawling and beating him at his own game.

Bret Hart and Val Venis appear to be preoccupied with the Acolytes to a great
degree. Only a few days ago, they would have never been defeated by Mark Henry
and D-Lo Brown and now the latter had no trouble whatsoever getting a win over
the former tag team champions.

Masato Tanaka gave new Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels everything he
could handle - and then some. However, Michaels' experience prevailed in this
instance and he successfully thwarted the challenge from the Japanese superstar.

However, Michaels better not rest on his accomplishments because a young
superstar is breathing down his neck... the man who will probably become the
next Shawn Michaels in a few years, Edge. Edge challenged Shawn Michaels to a
title match and it has been signed, sealed and will be delivered at In Your
House.

Hollywood Hogan is making good on his promise, as he saved The Rock's title
reign tonight. Ken Shamrock tunneled his anger and aggression towards The Rock
and got him in more than just a compromising position. It was painfully obvious
that the Ankle Lock would have spelled the end of both The Rock's title reign -
and his WWF career.

So, in a sense, Rock should be thanking Hogan for his help... talk about being
between a rock and a hard place (no pun intended).

See you at In Your House !
